What We Collect

Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs for security and abuse prevention: your IP address, rough country, browser user agent, the page requested, and the timestamp.

These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build individual advertising profiles.

We currently do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics script on this site. If that changes in the future, we will update this page before going live.

What We Don't Collect

• No account, no login, no password
• No newsletter signup (we do not currently send one)
• No contact form on the site — email is the only channel
• No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies
• No selling or sharing of personal data, because we hold none

Email

If you email us at [email protected], your message and email address are used only to reply to that conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your address with third parties.

External Links

Our guides link to external sites (university extensions, ASPCA, RHS, and occasionally shopping references). Once you leave PlantZone, the privacy policy of that external site applies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Cookies

We do not set any tracking cookies. If our hosting provider sets a strictly necessary security cookie (for example, to block abuse), it is technical and does not track you across other sites.

Your Rights

Because we do not hold personal profiles, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct. If you believe we have received personal data about you (for example, from an email you sent), email us and we will handle it.

Changes

If we add analytics, advertising, or any account system, we will update this page before the change goes live.
